Freedisk command in Windows Server 2008 is used to checks to see if the specified amount of disk space is available before continuing with an installation process. Syntax for Freedisk command is given below.

Syntax

freedisk [/s <Computer> [/u <Domain> \]<User> [/p [<Password>]]]] [/d <Drive>] [<Value>]

Parameters For Freedisk

Parameter Description
/s <Computer> Defines the name or IP address of a remote computer.
/u [<Domain>\]<User> Runs the script with the permissions of the specified user account.
/p [<Password>] Defines the password of the user account that is defined in /u.
/d <Drive> Defines the drive for which you want to find out the availability of free space.
/? Shows help at the command prompt.
