Introduction

Bcdboot is a tool used to quickly setup a system partition, or to repair the boot environment resides on the system partition. The system partition can be set up by coping Boot configuration data (BCD) files to an empty partition which is already exists. The syntax for using Bcdboot command is given below.

Syntax

bcdboot  <source> [/1] [/s]

Parameters for Bcdboot

Parameter Description
Source Defines the location of the Windows directory to use as the source for copying boot environment files.
/I Describes the locale.
/s defines the volume letter of the system partition.
