Introduction

Logoff command in Windows Server 2008 can be used to logoff the user from a session on a remote desktop session host server and deletes a session from the server. Syntax used for Logoff command is given below.

Syntax

logoff [<SessionName> | <SessionID>] [/server : <ServerName>] [/v]

Parameters For Logoff

Parameter Description
<SessionName> Defines the name of the session.
<SessionID> Defines the numeric ID which identifies the session to the server.
/server : <ServerName> Defines the RD session host server that contain the session whose user wants to logoff.
/v Shows the information about the action being performed.
/? Shows help at the command prompt.
