Introduction

Vol command is Windows Server 2008 command line tool. This command is available in Windows 7, Windows Server 2000, Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2003 R2, Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Vista, Windows XP. Vol command is displays the disk volume label and serial number, if they exist. Vol command is used without parameter, vol displays information for the current drive.

Syntax

    vol [<Drive>:]

 

Parameter of Vol command

 

Parameter Description
<Drive>: This parameter is specifies the drive that contains the disk for which we want to display the volume label and serial number.
/? Displays help at the command prompt.
