Introduction

Dsmod command in Windows Server 2008 is used to modify object of a specific type in the active directory. Dsmod command consists of various subcommands some of them are given below.

Command Description
Dsmod computer Change attributes of one or more existing computers in the directory.
Dsmod contact Change attributes of one or more existing contacts in the directory.
Dsmod group Change attributes of one or more existing groups in the directory.
Dsmod ou Change attributes of one or more existing OUs in the directory.
Dsmod server Change properties of a domain controller.
Dsmod user Change attributes of one or more existing users in the directory.
Dsmod quota Change attributes of one or more existing quota specifications in the directory.
Dsmod partition Change attributes of one or more existing partitions in the directory.
