Introduction

Pnputil command in Windows Server 2008 is used to manage the driver store. This command is also used to add driver packages, remove driver packages and list driver packages that are in the store. Syntax used for Pnputil command is given below.

Syntax

pnputil.exe [-f | -i] [-? | -a | -d | -e] <INF name>

Parameters For Pnputil

Parameter Description
-a Defines to add the identified INF file.
-d Defines to delete the identified INF file.
-e Defines to enumerate all third-party INF files.
-f Defines to force the deletion of the identified INF file.
-i Defines to installs the identified INF file.
/? Shows help at the command prompt.
