Database Function  in Excel 2010

Database function use for work like database calculation. Database function calculation only for those result that meat in the criteria. To perform calculation through database function we need three argument. Example DSUM(Database, Field, Criteria).

Database :-It is the cell range that make database.

Field :- It is the column name that we use in function.

Criteria :- It is the cell range that specified the criteria area for the function.

To use Database function we have to follow following steps.

Step 1

Open Worksheet and select cell where we want to use Database function.

On Formula tab and click on Insert Formula.

Then a  Insert Function will be open. Where we select DSUM function and click Ok.

After its a Function Arguments dialog box will be open.

Step 5

In Database area enter cell range of database.

In Field area enter column name or column number.

In Criteria area enter cell range that specified criteria.

Step 6

And Click on Ok. Result will be displayed.
